The starter kit gathers the physical equipment required by most VP processes, without containing any chemistry. It includes 2 plastic trays, a thermometer, a stopwatch, 3 syringes, foam clips, 5 calibrated measuring spoons from 1.25 to 15 mL, a notebook, foam rollers with sleeves, a mask, a bubble level, a glass plate, a rolling tray and 2 empty 500 mL bottles. It is the only reference in the catalog that is not a chemical consumable: no associated process, no inventor, no printing protocol. Its function is strictly instrumental and transversal across all the chemical kits offered by VP today.

Where the Aquaprint, gumoil, bromoil, resinotype and carbon kits each supply the specific chemistry of one process, the starter kit covers the tooling common to all: precise volumetric measurement through the 5 measuring spoons, thermal control via the thermometer for 40 °C developments, bath timing with the stopwatch, flatness guaranteed by the bubble level and glass plate during sensitization. The selection was curated by VP to spare the practitioner from searching piece by piece in generalist retail. Buying this kit once is enough to equip a kitchen for the near-totality of processes available in the VP catalog today.
